He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Hoekstra and Henrietta Hoekstra; his wife Anne Junker Hoekstra; his brothers, Lester Hoekstra and Herman Hoekstra; his nephews, Michael Junker and Paul Hoekstra; his niece Alice Beth Barnes; and his grandson Gabriel Hoekstra.
He is survived by : his wife Penny Hoekstra; his children, Jaclyn Schoknecht (Paul) and Jeff Hoekstra (Mary Jane); his granddaughters, Eliza Schoknecht, Willa Schoknecht, Sarah Long (Corbin) and Josie Hoekstra; his great grandchild Genevieve Long; and his siblings, Rose Kuipers, Gertrude VanderMeyden, Ralph Hoekstra, Evelyn Lagestee and Audrey Witvoet. He is also survived by step-son, step daughter-in-law and two additional grandchildren.
