He was predeceased by : his parents, Alfred J. Gauntt and Jennie Monroe (McMillen); his wife Betty Jane Jaros; his son Clifford A. Gauntt; his son-in-law Skip McWilliams; his sister Ramona Gotch; and his great grandchild Hazel McWilliams.

He is survived by : his daughters, Pamela Caldwell (Jack) of Ravenna, OH, Carol Evans (Bruce) of West Farmington, OH and Barbara McWilliams (Pastor Will Garland) of Leavittsburg, OH. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
