He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Matthews and Vivian Thrash Matthews; his wife Dolores Neff (Duke); his grandson Joseph E Fuller; and his brothers, Ronald Matthews and Richard Mathews (Dick).
He is survived by: his children, Kim Davis (Don), Carla Hall (Mark), Connie Matthews and Chris Matthews; his grandchildren, Adrienne Pentsa (Brian), Don Davis (Jesslyn), Ashlie Blair, Amanda Hall-Rush (TJ), Laura Hall-Yartz (Mark) and Mark Hall (Kimmy McCann); and his siblings-in-law, Katherine Mathews and Joe Neff. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, many extended family members and friends.
