He was predeceased by: his parents, William N. Harris and Lou L. Harris (Hamrick); and his siblings, Donna Harris, Eldora Ford, Doralene Herring, Freda Snelson, Frances Simmons and Boyd Harris.

He is survived by: his wife Janet L. Harris; his sons, James Harris (Barb) and Jason Harris; his grandchildren, Jeffery, LeeAnn, Kayla (David) and Kevin; and his great grandchildren, Bryson, Autumn, Emilayah and Eralynn.
