He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Hall Brooks and Ida Leo Brooks; and his sisters, Janice Shafer and Pat Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Vonda; his daughter April Brooks-Brown (Ronald); and his siblings, Pamela Brooks, Jeanine Adams and Larry Brooks. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.

“We are just heartbroken for the loss of Jack. Not only was he Lynn's barber for over 45years, He was a friend. I will never forget when Lynn and I got married, we told Jack of our honeymoon mishap of putting a green log on the fire and how our room filled up with smoke. He would tell our story every time Lynn would get a haircut to his other clients, and he just laughed so hard. He will be greatly missed, but always in our hearts. Love Lynn and Melissa Walker”
