James leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. James’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew James will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by: his parents, James L. Engle and Sharon Engle; his sister Robin Keifer (Paul); his nephews, Tyler Keifer (Ellie) and Trey Keifer; his great-nephew Jimmer Keifer; and his son Nicki Vitale. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Heritage Christian Church (7171 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45459). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
