He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Sapara; his stepson Douglas J. Walouke (Susan); his granddaughters, Abigail M. Walouke (Alex) and Madeline M. Walouke; his brothers, Michael Sapara (Sally), Daniel Sapara (Suzie) and Ronald Sapara; and his nieces and nephews, Michael Sapara Jr., Matthew Sapara, Joseph Sapara, Angela Skaff and Amanda Scurrell.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Stine Funeral Home of Lebanon (801 Monroe Rd, Lebanon, OH 45036). A procession was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church (20 Desales Ave, Lebanon, OH 45036).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Gary Sinise Foundation, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, organizations that were meaningful to John.
