With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Walters of Lebanon, Ohio, who passed away on September 29, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Hazel; and his wife Mary Ellen. He is survived by: his children, Scott Walters (Lesly) of Forest Park, Steve Walters (Wendy) of Fairfield and Cindy Nixon (Brad) of Cincinnati; his sister Sally Hall (Keith); and his grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Jacob, Cammie and Joshua.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the National Parks Foundation (nationalparks.org) and United Methodist Church - West Ohio Conference, The Preachers' Relief Society (prswestohio.org).

As Lay Leader for several years, Mary Ellen and I would attend Annual Conference at Lakeside, while my husband and Joe would fish from our boat which was docked on Lake Erie. We have many warm memories of Joe and Mary Ellen and the friendship which we shared. We are now residents of Wesley Glen in Columbus, Ohio, since 2019. So sorry to learn of Joe's passing, and send our sympathy.”
