We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Phyllis Ann Browning of Lebanon, Ohio. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Matt Gross and Zelda; and her siblings, Roberta McIntosh, Wanda Gross, Sharon Gross and Nelson Gross.

She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa George (Kyle), Bobbie Elaine Vires and Sarah Sergent (John); her grandchildren, Zach George (Sally), Hunter George (Logan), Autumn Hicks (Denis), Taylor Sergent and Kaitlyn Sergent; her great grandchildren, Jacob Hicks, Hudson Hicks and Henslie George; her sisters, Faye Hollon and Flora Noble (Sam); and her sister-in-law Shirley Gross-Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins; church family; and special friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home (185 N Main St, Waynesville, OH 45068). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Middletown (4418 Lewis St. Suite B, Middletown, Ohio 45044); Lebanon City Schools (160 Miller Rd, Lebanon, Ohio 45036); or The Ranch Adult Day Habilitation Center (980 Old 122 Rd, Lebanon, Ohio 45036).

“Phyllis was an amazing woman. I am honored to have met her and been a part of her life. She was my first client in hair school and one of my last while I was there. I’m beyond thankful to have met her. Her presence was unmatched. She had a contagious smile and laugh. Her stories were absolutely amazing. Especially finding out she knew me as a young child living across the street from my uncle. Talking about watching his firework show every Fourth of July. She will be missed.”
