He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray and Alice; his siblings, Krista Swain and Danny Fairchild; his mother-in-law Alta Vanderpool; and his brother-in-law Ronnie Vanderpool.

He is survived by: his wife Regina; his children, Kevin Fairchild (Michelle) of Liberty Township, Dusty Fairchild (Tammy) of Eldorado, OH and Shannon Elbert (Randy) of Waynesville, OH; his father-in-law Hayes Vanderpool of Lebanon, OH; and his siblings-in-law, Angie Wilson (John) of Lebanon, Sherry Vanderpool of Middletown, Mike Vanderpool of Lebanon, OH and Ed Swain of Franklin, OH. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
