He is survived by: his wife Shirley Carter; his children, Todd Carter (Elizabeth), Christy Turner (Trent) and Allison Elam (Michael); his grandchildren, Thomas Turner, Abigail Linton (Micah), Whitney Ramey (Zachary), Grant Turner, Brett Elam, Emily Carter, Carter Elam, Jenna Turner and Paige Carter; his great grandchildren, Dylan and Ty Ramey; his siblings, David Carter (Linda), Becky Hester (Larry) and Debbie Hitch (Gene); and his brother-in-law Robert Neu.
