He is survived by: his wife Florence; his children, Larry Matlock, Sheila Mullins (Donald "Moon") and Vickie Matlock (Randy Kennedy); and his grandchildren, Christy Harris, Amanda Schwier, Heather Stevens, Ryan Monhollen, Danny Matlock, Kurtis Matlock and Kelly Monhollen.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home (329 E Mulberry St, Lebanon, OH 45036). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
