He is survived by: his children, Sarah Carrillo of Columbus, Jose Mata of Columbus, Esmeralda Lucero of Columbus, Noraelia Elizarraga of Leipsic, David Mata of Columbus, Veronica Mata of Leipsic and Rebeca Giron of Leipsic; and his siblings, Ignacio Mata, Juan Francisco Mata, Juan Manuel Mata, Jesus Mata and Yolanda Briseno. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
