He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Schondel (Werynski); his brother Kenneth Schondel Jr. of Oklahoma; his children, Michael Schondel, Jr. of Michigan, Amanda Hermiller (Tony) of Ottawa and Lisa Maag (Dean) of Cloverdale; his grandchildren, Austin Schondel (Mckayla), Robert Schondel, Elizabeth Schondel, Sean Maag, Henry Maag, Drew Hermiller and Bryce Hermiller; and his pet Brick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kalida Fish and Game Club, a place that reflected Michael's lifelong love of the outdoors and the traditions he was so proud to share with others.
