It is with sadness that the passing of Othmar Weis of Leipsic, Ohio is shared. Othmar, born on March 20, 1941, passed away on October 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Weis and Esther Weis (Schumaker); his siblings, Ursula Weis, Rose Ann Morman (Clete), Margaret Schroeder (Delmar), Janelda Halker (Dennis) and Dennis Weis; and his aunt Agnes Schumaker.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Hilvers; his children, Kathy Rieman (Greg) of Leipsic, Denise Mangas (Doug) of Leipsic, Karen Gillespie (Troy) of Leipsic and Jason Weis (Stephanie) of Whitehouse; his grandchildren, Ashley Krinke (Isaac), Rachel Schey (Dylan), Lindsey Meyer (Hunter), Cole Rieman (Kierra), Ryan Mangas (Danielle), Ross Mangas (Madeline), Reese Mangas (Claire), Kelsie Schroeder (Matt), Tyler Gillespie, Kaleb Gillespie, Brayden Weis and Gavin Weis; his great grandchildren, Wrenley, Lennon, Tatum, Hattie, Henry, Oaklyn, Myles, Wyatt and Whitney; and his sister Janet Westrick (Ralph) of Leipsic.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (318 State St, Leipsic, OH 45856).
Memorial donations may be made to Putnam County CAP or a charity of the donor's choice.
