We are sad to announce that, on January 12, 2026, at the age of 95, Richard Merwin Cass of Leipsic, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard C. Sr. Cass and Hetta F. Cass (Geren); his spouse Shirley L. Klear; his sons, Robert A. Cass and William Cass; and his siblings, Erma Cunningham (Orville), Willard Cass Jr. (Doris), Donna Shafer (Raymond), Carl Cass (Phyllis), Edward Cass, Elaine Shellenbarger (Clifford) and Norma Jean Thomas (Donald).
He is survived by: his son Michael M. Cass of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Mason Cass, Mariah Cass, Shawn Cass, Joshua Cass and Kimberly Cass; his brother Robert Cass (Gloria) of Defiance; and his sister-in-law Alvera Cass of Miller City.
