Richard Hiegel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2025, at the age of 92, Richard Hiegel of Leipsic, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Heigel and Martha Heigel (Stoup); and his siblings, Paul Hiegel, Chuck Hiegel (Janet) and Janice Osborne (Dean).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Buzard; his sons, Craig Hiegel (Vicki) of Ottawa and Mitch Hiegel (Jule "Tood") of Leipsic; his grandchildren, Brennan Hiegel (Kelsey), Taylor Honigford (Isaac), Jackie Hiegel, Tasha Knueven (Jeff) and Heather Vasquez; his brother Tom Hiegel (Sandy) of Dayton; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Hiegel of Leipsic. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home - Leipsic (226 Belmore St, Leipsic, OH 45856). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
