He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Kohls and Mary Kohls (Recker); and his brother Msgr. He is survived by: his wife Joann Gerdeman; his children, John Kohls (Lisa) of Leipsic, David Kohls (Janice) of New Cleveland, Gary Kohls (Cheryl) of Wauseon, Karen Selhorst (Rick) of Bowling Green and Mark Kohls (Karen) of Canton, GA; his grandchildren, Kristopher Kohls, Katelyn Kohls, Ashley Kohls, Chad Kohls, Dana Kadam (Sailesh), Brittany Kohls, Stephanie Litwiller (Jacob), Tony Darnell-Kohls (Kasey), Andrew Kohls (Taylor), Amanda Dawson (Mike), Megan Vas (Chris), Jenna Selhorst, Brian Selhorst, Neil Kohls, Abby Kohls and Sean Kohls; his sister Betty Thibault (Normand) of Dade City, FL; and his brother-in-law Dennis Gerdeman (Jane) of Glandorf. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
