He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Alt and Luella Alt (Ricker); his siblings, Frances Alt, Bill Alt (Dorothy), Bernard Alt (Dorothy), Viola Topp (Robert), Dick Alt and Daniel Alt; and his siblings-in-law, JoLou Alt, Vivian Werner Hutchinson and Cleo "Click" Schimmoeller.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Alt, Jr. of Leipsic, Katherine Lammers of Leipsic, Deborah Pothast (James) of Glandorf, Pamela Peck (Anthony) of Leipsic, Anthony Alt (Charlotte) of Continental and Jason Alt of Leipsic; and his siblings, John Alt, Ghnelda Schimmoeller of Fort Jennings and Kenny Alt (Sandy). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice.
