He was predeceased by: his parents, George P. Bastin and Elizabeth Bastin (Collins); and his brothers, Emil Bastin and Lloyd Bastin. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Bastin (Beers); his children, Nelson Bastin Jr. (Christine) of Altoona, PA. and Shari Meade (Bryan) of Lewis Center, OH; his brother George Bastin of Saxonburg, PA; his grandchildren, Leah, Natalie, Shane, Ivan Bastin, Bryce and Elizabeth Meade; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Octavia Bastin. He is also survived by 3 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren.
