He was predeceased by : his father Lester Isaacs; his stepfather Gene Shiverdecker; his mother Dorothy Shiverdecker; and his siblings, Calvin, Edward Shiverdecker, Beverly Isaacs and Junia Lewis.

He is survived by : his preferred name Jim; his wife Linda Isaacs; his daughters, Renee Colaj and Ariel Smith; his grandchildren, Santiago Colaj, Rosalinda Colaj, Marisol Colaj, Amadeus Smith, Darius Smith and Aurelius Smith; and his brother Dewain Shiverdecker.

In honor of Jim's wishes, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to help offset the cost of medical bills.
