He was predeceased by : his parents, Russell Root and Martha Root (Tapalman); his nephew Joseph Heck; his wife Phyllis D. Root; his siblings, Eugene Root, Glenora Wolfe, Betty Schmidt and Glen Root; his daughter-in-law Desiree Seery; his grandson Keith Allen Seery; and his great grandchild Jacob Collins.
He is survived by : his children, Anthony Root (Donna), Patrick Seery, Marilyn Bourne, Robert Seery, Sue Ellen Boggs, Lisa Seery, Donald Seery, Patricia Garner (Jeff) and Dixie Kier (Roger); and his sister-in-law Susan Heck. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many special friends.
