We are sad to announce that on September 18, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Phyllis Jean Slyder of Lewisburg, Ohio. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As Phyllis departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Phyllis may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Phyllis leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Darrell Slyder; and her children, Darrell Slyder, Jr. (Pete), Joe Slyder and Pam Creech. She is survived by: her children, Pat Smith (Dave) of Lewisburg, OH and Jim Slyder (Bernice) of Eaton. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rogers Funeral Homes (324 W Main St, New Lebanon, OH 45345). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Dayton; an organization close to Phyllis' heart.
