He was predeceased by: his parents, James F Phillips and Gladys Phillips (Beard); his son Bradley L. Phillips; and his brother Delmer Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Thorn; his children, Gary Phillips (Melissa) and Cheryl Gephart (Troy); his daughter-in-law Valerie Phillips; his grandchildren, Andrew Phillips, Ian Phillips (Taylor), Elliott Phillips, Hannah Walls (Landon) and Phoebe Baker (Jon); his great grandchildren, Dawson, Emery and Barrett Baker; and his siblings, James "Eddie" Phillips and Louella Sabel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed towards Liberty Center United Methodist Church.
