He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Smith and Maggie Smith (Turner); and his siblings, Geraldine Peachee, Hershel "Curly" Smith, Donald Smith and Bert Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Smith (Engle); his children, Jay Smith (Paula), Ronnie Smith (Marcia), Darlene Smith, J. Todd Smith (Jennifer) and Regina Begley (Greg); his grandchildren, Angela, TJ, Curtis, Maggie, Melanie, Brad, Sarah, Alex, Victoria, Breanna, Josiah, Wesley, Silas Vernon, Joey, Jacob, Jonathan, Laura and Leah; and his siblings, Mildred Smith, Carl Smith and Larry Smith (Diane). He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
