It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amy Sockrider (Lima, Ohio), who passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Amy leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Andrew and Lynda Kay McCoy (Hunt); her husband Jack Sockrider; and her nephew Terry Dotson. She is survived by: her children, Emily Sockrider (Zachary Linn) and Thomas "Tommy" Sockrider; her granddaughter Sarah Stonehill; and her siblings, Teresa Davis and Denny Bowers.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home (920 N Cable Rd, Lima, OH 45805). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for funeral expenses or Donor's Choice.
