With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Brenda Hilyard of Lima, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 20, 2025 at the age of 69. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Brenda Hilyard to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her mother Lucy Samples Sr. (Curry); her half-siblings, Joe Jarvis, Ray Jarvis, Jim "Bo" Jarvis, Mary "Sissy" Jarvis Wooten and Joy Jarvis Gibson; her mother-in-law Martha Hilyard; and her sister-in-law Wava Cotterman.
She is survived by: her father John Samples; her husband James "Jay" Hilyard; her sons, Jeff Hilyard (Alexis) and Jayme Hilyard (Jordan); her grandsons, Braelyn, Jameson, Lucas, David and Jaydan; her brother John Samples Jr. (Deanne); and her half-siblings, Judy Jarvis West, Pam Samples Davis (Daniel) and Ryan Samples.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home (920 N Cable Rd, Lima, OH 45805). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family towards funeral expenses.
