With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clara Gillispie (Lima, Ohio), born in Delphos, Ohio, who passed away on July 24, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Virgil Thines and Mary Thines (Keiffer); and her husband James H. Gillispie. She is survived by : her children, Rebecca Mathews (Allen), Cindy Nolte (Mike) and James H. Gillispie, II of Lima; her grandchildren, Jenna Gillispie, Shawn Eley, Shannon Eley, Megan McDonald, Charlie McDonald, Samantha Nolte and Kyle Nolte; her great grandchildren, Katie, Jordan, Allyssa, Corbin, Tristen, A. J., Olivia, Zoie, Taylor, Ethan, Arianna, Tobe, Avalyn and Knox; her great great grandchild Opie; her sister-in-law Georgia Thines; and her son-in-law Larry Pummell.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gerard Church for Memorial Masses.

“My sincerest sympathies to the CLARA GILLESPIE family; & all the Thines/Basinger Family members!! I knew several of the Gillespie family members. Attended school w/her daughter Melody; knew Becky, CINDY; Jamie; as well as Mrs Gillespie’s husband. I would usually see/talk w/ Clara on Election Day; as she was working the voting polls.
