We announce the death of Douglas Handshoe in Lima, Ohio, who passed away on July 22, 2026, at the age of 72. He was predeceased by: his father Theodore Handshoe; his brothers, Theodore Handshoe Jr. and Jeffrey Handshoe; and his nephew Mark Handshoe. He is survived by: his mother Sylvia Poe (Stephens); his sons, Mike Handshoe of Tobaccoville, NC and Todd Handshoe of Winston-Salem, NC; his stepson Joe Thomas of Wapakoneta, OH; and his sister Deborah Gronas (Charles) of Lima. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; mother.
