She was predeceased by: her husband Albert T. Ellis; and her siblings, Tommy L. Maroney, Charles Maroney, Arthur C. Maroney Jr., James O. Ellis and Mae Frances Branthay.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ethel Mae Shurelds (Chester) of Lima and Alice Marie Young of Lima; her grandchildren, Tevin Simpson, Keonna Simpson, Chelsea Truesdale (Nicholas) and Ethan Shurelds; her great grandchildren, Janiah Wall, Callan Truesdale, Jess Wall, Kieran Shurelds and Jackson Truesdale; her siblings, Willie B. Maroney Sr., Ella Mae Simpson, Arnett Maroney, Mabel Johnson, Victoria Maroney and Wilma Youngblood; and her friends, Dorothy Knuckles and Johnnie Tolbert.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home (920 N Cable Rd, Lima, OH 45805). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church (520 W Spring St, Lima, OH 45801).
