She was predeceased by: her parents, Emzer Shurelds and Willie Ann Shurelds Sr. (Leonard); her adoptive son James Q. Shurelds "Chic"; and her siblings, Irma Shurelds, Margaret Shurelds, Theresa Smith, Chester Shurelds Sr., John Shurelds Sr., Emzer Shurelds Jr., Sally Horton and Ruthie Shurelds.
She is survived by: her children, Napoleon Shurelds (Tina) of Lima, Ohio, Mark A. Shurelds of Lima, Ohio and Carla S. Pea (Shurelds) of Dallas, Texas; and her adoptive children, Scott I. Shurelds (Jennifer) of Lima, Ohio, Tracie A. Shurelds of Lima and Leslie A. Shurelds of Dallas, Texas.. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews.
