He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Shine Sr. and Mamie Shine; his children, Kenneth E. Davis and Eva M. Longmeier; his wife Mary E. Russell-Davis; his siblings, Lonnie Shine Jr., George Davis, Hubert Shine (Lorse Shine) and Maxine Davis; and his stepdaughter Gloria Russell-Banks.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Bobbie Long (Richard) of Lima, Dave Johnson of Lima and Michael Russell of Lima; his brother Edd Shine of Lima, OH; his sister-in-law Nora Shine of Lima, OH; and his close friends, Doris Dunbar and Curt Stapleton. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
