He is survived by: his wife Sondra Joan Bechtel (White); his children, Deborah Henry, Dawn Coburn (Mike) and James Bechtel Jr. (Gracie); his grandchildren, Matthew Shumaker, Mallory Berrios and Morgan Sergeant; his great grandchildren, Isaiah Shumaker, Wyatt "Gus" Shumaker, Evan Myers, Delilah Coburn, Emerson Sergeant and Hunter Berrios; and his sister Karen Van Horn (Harold).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's.
