He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Simpson (Margaret) and Ruby Simpson (Carter); his daughter Paula Lynn; and his brothers, Charlie "Coley" Simpson (Edna Lee), Cartis "Curt" Simpson, Leroy Simpson and Jenise Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Delores "Lois" Simpson of Lima, Ohio; his daughter Dawn Simpson-Gray of Cuyahoga, Ohio; his grandchildren, Addyson "Addy" and Lily; his sister-in-law Wanda Simpson of Middlesboro, Kentucky; and his sister Frances Payne of Maryville.
