Karen S. Kaufman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen S. Kaufman (Lima, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 4, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Huber and Hildegard Huber (Quiring); her son Brian Mitchell LaRue; her former husband Dennis LaRue; and her brother Tom Huber.
She is survived by: her spouse Russell G. Kaufman; her daughters, Cindy Lee (Bill) of Lakeview, OH and Debbie Deerhake (Jeff) of Kingwood, TX; her stepchildren, Kathy Pierson (Denny) of Powell, OH, Vickie House (Kendall) of Ft. Meyers, FL and Rusty Kaufman (LuAnn) of Wapakoneta, OH; her grandchildren, Lauren List (Steven), Nick Deerhake (Natalie), Kristen Tumbleson, Nicole Wolf (Derrick), Nate Mathew (Kelley), Brandy Armour (Justin), Dustin House (Courtney), Suzanne Pierson, Adam Pierson, Rachel Jordan (Joe), Abby Sneary (Adam) and Tyler Kaufman (Morgan); and her brother Ron Huber (Cathy) of Lima. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home (920 N Cable Rd, Lima, OH 45805). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Universal Hospice of Bellefontaine, Ohio.
