With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kevin Lewis Cheney (Lima, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 22, 2026 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Steven Cheney; and his sisters, Linda Debra Cheney and Krista Kay Cheney. He is survived by: his daughter Melinda Cox (Cheney) of Dayton; his grandchildren, Hailie Cox and Matteo Cox of Dayton; his brothers, Keith Cheney (Jan) of Lima and Brian Cheney of Lima; his nephew Trent Cheney (Megan Joseph) of Lima; his niece Ashley Stephens (Shawn) of Lima; his great-niece Lilly Stephens of Lima; his great-nephews, Henry and Theodore of Lima; and his pets, Louie and Buddy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita’s Legacy Foundation.
