She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley M. Scales and Murdis Scales (Hall); her husband Leroy Houston; and her brothers, David Goins, Mike Scales and Ricky Scales.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert Q. Houston, Sr. of Newark and Aaron L. Houston of Columbus, Ohio.; her grandchildren, Kortney Walls (Courtney), Lachiana Redmond, Mia Barnett, Alicia Bryant, Miaja Watkins, Carhonda Redmond, Ahmad Houston, Robert Q. Houston, Jr., Tony Smith, Amir Houston and Devone Houston; and her siblings, Willie J. Scales of Lima, Jackie Scales of Lima, Eric Hall of Lima, Shirel Youngblood (Howard) of Lima, Kaye Dilworth of Lima, Jill Scales of Lima, Lawreena Savage of Lima and Teresa Hall of Lima.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Philippian Missionary Baptist Church (190 E 8th St, Lima, OH 45804). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
