He was predeceased by : his father Luther Benton Sr.; and his brother Timothy Eckerson. He is survived by : his mother Willa D. (Sanders-Benton); his stepmother Bobbie J. Benton of Lima; his daughter Amber S. Smith of Mesquite, TX; his sisters, Rosalyn Burton (Pua) of Lima, OH, Diyamela Youmans (Trenton) and Shilane Davis (Mack) of Ft Wayne, IN; and his cousins, Jamber Johnson and Tawanna Sanders of Milwaukee, WI. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
