She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Pearl Meyers Reid and Glenn Dale Reid; her husband James Alfred Shaffer; and her sister Dorothy Mowery (Richard). She is survived by: her children, David Shaffer (Vivien) of Harrod and Jo McConnell (Bruce) of Spencerville; her grandchildren, Jennifer Shaffer (Steve Etzler) of Harrod, Matthew Shaffer (Bethany) of Wapakoneta, Douglas Shaffer (Ann Marie) of Waynesfield, Nathan McConnell (Jenny) of Canal Fulton, Rachel Koester (Jonathon) of Lima, Tyler McConnell (Morgan) of Venedocia and Claire Taflinger (Billy) of Lima; and her great grandchildren, Kyle, Zane Newland, Autumn, Lauren Shaffer, Elijah, Isaiah Shaffer, Sophie, Sadie McConnell, Daniel, Philip Koester, Charlotte, Marcus McConnell, Will, Mary Kate Taflinger and Baby Taflinger. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Union Chapel Missionary Church (4869 Ada Rd, Lima, OH 45801). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
