He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Stephens and Wilma Stephens (Dunlap); his wife Alma Fay Stephens (Clevenger); his son Stanley Stephens; his son-in-law Mike Sprague; his great grandchild Marissa Jordan; and his siblings, Wendel Stephens, Helen Diller (Emerson) and Ann Lurz (Ken).
He is survived by: his children, Connie Adam (David), Barbara Sprague and Keith Stephens (Susan); his daughter-in-law Susan Dyer (Jack); and his siblings, Alton Stephens (Carol), Gary Stephens (Connie) and Norma Stephens. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lima Rescue Mission.
