He was predeceased by: his mother Marilyn Dee Edwards (Lewis). He is survived by: his father Franklin B. Edwards; his daughter Ty Coil (Nick) of Van Wert; his stepmother Grace Edwards of Grover Hill; his siblings, Andrew Edwards (Mary) of Paulding, Julie Kistler (Robert) of Van Wert and Jodee Thompson (John) of Defiance; and his grandchildren, Kendall of Van Wert and Zander Coil of Van Wert. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as greatâ€'nieces and greatâ€'nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests planting trees in Matt's memory-a fitting tribute for a man who felt most at home under an open sky and among the outdoors he loved.
