She is survived by: her father John Nelson; her grandchildren, Amaya Brown and Jakiya Reynolds; her great grandchildren, Ramazi Brown and Mazaria Brown; her stepson Tierra Thomas; her siblings, Shirley Upshaw, Clarence Thomas, Anthony Thomas, Vickie Thomas and Steve Thomas (Amy); her stepbrother Quincy Peoples; and her siblings-in-law, Janice Thomas and Raymond "Crip" Grant. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
