He was predeceased by: his mother Cleo Newland (Saffle); his wife Gloria Saffle (Kimmel); his stepfather Fred V. Newland; his son William Saffle; his stepson Daniel L. Menefee; his siblings, Glen Menefee, Robert Heston, Larry Newland and Evelyn Menefee; and the mother of his children Judith M. Saffle.
He is survived by: his children, Paul J. Saffle, Jr. (Georgiana) of Lima, OH and Victoria Green (Dewey) of Lima, OH; his grandchildren, Ty Saffle, William Saffle, John Saffle (Heather), Cory Saffle (Marla), Alicia Marshall (Jimmy) and Dylan Green; and his great grandchildren, Aria, Zoe, Nevaeh, Alexa and Toby.
