He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul W. Pierson, and LaDonna I. Pierson, Sr. (Knittle); his former wife Linda K. McLoughlin Pierson; his wife Sandra K. Sprague; his son Kevin Pierson; and his siblings, Emory Pierson, James "Jim" Baker, Grover Pierson and Betty Armentrout.
He is survived by: his children, Paul W. Pierson, III (Tina) of Lima, OH and Sonja Hodges (Ray) of Warsaw, OH; and his siblings, Joe Baker, Harold "Eugene" Baker of Elida, OH, Shirley Tippie (Ronald) of Lima, OH, Barbara "Barb" Schultz of Van Wert, OH, Evelyn Fedele (Terry) of Ohio City, OH, Karen DeSoto (John) of Ohio City, OH and Janet Davis of Lima, OH. He is also survived by four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
