He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Settlemire and Doris Settlemire (Sellers); his former wife Hazel Rosalie Fricke; his siblings, Betty Styers (Bob) and William Settlemire (Marjorie); his siblings-in-law, William Fricke (Doris), Paul Fricke (Mary), David Fricke, Vernon Fricke, Donald Fricke, Lillian Mae McKee (Jerry) and Hilda Case (Dwight); and his grandson Dustin William Dailey.
He is survived by: his children, Joyce Grear (Chad) of Spencerville, Linda Dailey (Gary) of Wapakoneta, Chris Monroe of Troy, David Settlemire (Wanda) of Celina, Brian Settlemire (Beth Bowersock) of Spencerville, Richard Settlemire (Leo Ramirez) of Chicago and Michael Settlemire (Grace Gallimore) of Spencerville; his sisters-in-law, Flo Hoel, Alice Zoch of North Carolina and Joan Fricke of Maryland; and his wife Rose. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home (728 E 4th St, Spencerville, OH 45887). Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Agape Fellowship Church and or Spencerville Ambulance.
