He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert W. Brinkman and Alma Brinkman (Baumgartner); his siblings, Dorothy Heck, Richard Brinkman, Julia Brickner (Howard) and Donald Brinkman; and his brother-in-law Paul Grothaus.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Maggie" Brinkman (McDonald); his children, Kathryn Brinkman of Lima and Kyle Brinkman of Neunkirchen, Germany; his stepchildren, Julia LePage and Joseph Snyder (Karen); his grandchildren, Tyler Sites (Paige), Noah Sites (Hannah), Alexis Brinkman, Addison Brinkman, Jenna Snyder, Bryan Snyder, Ivy LePage and Luke LePage; his siblings, Patricia Hughes, Gene Brinkman (Judy), Anita Meredith, Jim Brinkman, Chuck Brinkman and Mary Ellen Grothaus; and his sister-in-law Miriam Brinkman. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
