Virginia C. Mongelluzzo Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia C. Mongelluzzo of Lima, Ohio, who passed away on October 22, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank J. Guagenti and Virginia M. Guagenti; her husband John Mongelluzzo, Jr.; and her brothers, Joseph F. Guagenti (Concetta) and Dominic D. "Donnie" Guagenti (Carolyn).

She is survived by: her children, Maria Sanko (Drew) of Lima, John Mongelluzzo (Kerry) of Cincinnati, Frank Mongelluzzo (Ann) of Dublin and Virginia Lara DeLeone (Jeff) of Columbus, Ohio.; her grandchildren, Erica Sanko, Andrew Sanko, Michael Sanko, Amanda Sanko, Jennifer Mongelluzzo Shepherd, Stephen Shepherd, Lauren Mongelluzzo, Luke Blom, Abigail Mongelluzzo, John "Jack" Mongelluzzo, Virginia "Gina" DeLeone and James DeLeone; her great grandchild John Stephen "Johnny" Shepherd; and also Frank. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gena's name to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Parish and to Lima Central Catholic High School Educational Foundation.
