With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia M. Rutter of Lima, Ohio, who passed away on June 11, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Appelfeller and Pauline Appelfeller (Haynes); her husband Harry R. Rutter; her daughter Janice Kirlin; and her sister Ida Grace Ward.

She is survived by: her children, James R. Rutter, Scott A. Rutter and Pamela Ann Barnes (Raymond); and her son-in-law Dr. David Kirlin. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lima Rescue Mission or Our Daily Bread.
