She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul A. Holmes and Jenna Holmes (Robinette); her husband Donald E. Johnson; and her sister Mildred "Midge" Jackson. She is survived by: her children, Wendy Moeller (Allen), Douglas Johnson (Michelle) and James Johnson (Vicki); and her grandchildren, Andrew Johnson (Rebekah), Chase Johnson (Laura), Haley Ellett (Virgil), Ashley Pugh (John), Timothy Johnson (Celeste), Abigail Francis (Matt), Jeanna Hawk (Logan), Nicole Lunn (Matt), Kelli Albers (Brian), Tricia Henry (Tony), Cody Howard and Cole Howard (Jessica). She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren.
