He was predeceased by: his parents, A. C. Michael and Cora E. Michael (Speller); his former wife Suzanne Auxter; and his brother Doug Michael. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Kurt Michael (Cynthia), Chris Michael (Kathleen) and Beth Schlea (Roger); his stepchildren, Scott Longanbach (Sara) and Denise Knipp; his grandchildren, Nicole Adams (Chris), Ryan Michael, Angela Throop (Todd), Heather Neugent (Michelle) of Jeff Michael, AJ, Derek Schlea (Carrie) and Curtis Schlea (Abbey); his stepgrandchildren, Sadie Pedersen (Tyler), Sam Longanbach, Justin Knipp (Evelyn), Jason Knipp, Jenna Holcomb and Jamie Havens (AJ); his brothers, Wayne Michael (Dee), Richard Michael (Suzie), Dave Michael (Carol) and Bruce Michael (Jane); and his sister-in-law Carolyn Michael. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren.
